Who we've helped
I was introduced to Chris by my local solicitor. During our meeting I explained how I had taken out an investment policy with my local bank several years ago. During that time I had received no on-going advice from the bank. Chris was able to inform me that the investment I had been advised to take out was inappropriate firstly because of my own tax position and also because they had invested some of my money into inappropriate funds. As a result Chris was able to liaise to the Bank on my behalf and I have received almost £20,000 in compensation. He is also in the process of recovering overpaid tax on my behalf from HMRC. I would have no hesitation in recommending Chris to my family or friends.
My adviser at Kelvin Financial Planning assisted me with an inheritance I received from a relative. I had an inheritance tax problem of my own and was keen to ensure that this was addressed and that the money I received was managed appropriately. I had previously approached my local bank for assistance, however it was unclear what costs were involved and what the level of ongoing service would be. I am now content with the plan we have put together and am confident that my adviser is working on my behalf.
My adviser at Kelvin Financial Planning provided me with assistance with my pension options and I am now confident that I am on track for retirement. The costs and options were clearly explained and I selected the option that was most appropriate for me. It is reassuring to understand what I am paying for and the level of service I expect to receive in future.
